Nexstar, Hypocrisy & The Rage of a New Generation
Folks, let’s talk about who really pulls the strings in America’s so-called “free press.”
Jimmy Kimmel may be back on ABC, but let’s not kid ourselves—giant, soul-sucking monopolies like Sinclair and Nexstar still poison the airwaves with propaganda.
Nexstar even runs NewsNation, a pretend “straight news” network that’s nothing but right-wing sewage with The Grinch’s smile when the lights go down. If you know anyone watching it, tell them to shut it off. They’ll immediately gain ~18.25 IQ points.
Second, they deserve better than corporate disinformation peddled by a company that makes elephant dung kept in a dumpster in the Dubai sun in the middle of August smell like Chanel No. 5.
Speaking of giant dung piles, over four in ten House Democrats just voted to honor Charlie Kirk. You read that right.
They blithely gave into this vote and the GOP’s fake framing of Kirk’s life. Without so much as a demand that for their votes the day of remembrance include schoolchildren slaughtered in their classrooms (because Republicans love guns more than kids).
And/or for actual elected official, the late Minnesota St. House Speaker, Melissa Hortman, be added to the vote. A Democrat assassinated for her beliefs and votes.
So I must ask Democratic leadership, and 44% of the House Caucus who voted in favor of this thing (there were some absent, and some profiles in courage who voted “present”): What. The. F. Are. You. Doing??
Do you have any clue how to wield power? Do you intend to wield power?
What’s sad is while they’re not wielding power, the three of us were sitting having an honest discussion, with none of the security of elected officials have. And knowing deep down this is a dangerous world.
So, as while most congressional Democrats were joining Republicans in giving a MAGA demagogue a special day, there was Chuck Grassley still in the Senate. A guy who voted against Martin Luther King Day in 1983.
Yes, this actually happened, And he’s still there! Lucky for him it was only MLK, and not Charlie Kirk! I mean, the guy may yet break Methuselah’s record for oldest earthbound being and still be in the Senate when it happens!
Grassley’s like Yoda old, but not Yoda smart. In fact, he and his party are the very embodiment of Yoda’s famous warning:

LUKE, YOUNG, VIRAL TIKTOKER
The show brought on Luke, 22-year-old from Iowa who has blown up on TikTok with nearly a million followers. Why?
It’s always good to talk to someone so passionately willing to fight these Nero-esque, neanderthal nimrods at a young age. Especially someone from from Iowa, which has recently gone from purple to red.
But also where Jodi Ernst just ran for the hills rather than reelection, once she got a view of the polling.
Luke, much like David and I, says what we’re all feeling. He channels the unfiltered rage—of a country where Republicans happily line Trump’s pockets while whining about feeding hungry kids.
His most viral video—16 million views!—was about free school lunches. He called out the hypocrisy of church-going parents who fought against feeding kids, seemingly not knowing who some guy named Jesus was.
Then they had the gall to sing hymns about compassion on Sunday.
Luke’s kind of righteous fury at this is contagious, and exactly what our country needs more of. And he won’t back down, even when the usuals threaten him.
We also dug into the toxic version of “masculinity” that the right, sadly, has successfully sold to so many young men; bottling up emotions, bullying the vulnerable, overcompensating with assault rifles they don’t know how to use.
Real strength isn’t letting kids starve or women bleed out because politicians and preachers tell you it’s “manly.” Real strength is fighting for vulnerable Americans.
And refusing to be conned by a lifetime loser like Donald Trump, who bankrupted casinos and gets angry when an escalator at the UN stops working and he has to walk a flight of stair—also known as roughly 13.27 days of normal Trump exercise.
The UN trip, just Trump’s latest global embarrassment.
His UN speech was…rambling, incoherent, openly laughed at by world leaders in the room. Yet if Biden had mumbled a single similar word, Republicans would’ve called for impeachment and Jake Tapper would’ve had an aneurysm.
Trump’s team even tried to blame UN staffers for the escalator breakdown, when it was one of his own staffers who hit the cutoff switch (can we maybe put something over the nuclear button?). Because, of course it was.
This is who the GOP worships. A clown propped up by lies, denial, and makeup thick enough to cover a corpse.
The through line in all of this? Cruelty.
Whether it’s ripping a five-year-old girl from her father’s arms, cutting off telework for disabled Americans in violation of federal law, bullying online, or turning school lunches into culture war—Republicans never miss a chance to punch down.
That’s not politics, that’s sociopathy.
And you can fight it like hell now, or learn to live under it later. There is no in between.
