Cliff, this disobedience gig is what I've been harping on for years now, re Trump: if he can disobey, so can everybody else disobey him. No surprises here. Our reaction needs to reflect the seriousness of the threats we are experiencing. Time for leadership to lead. Time for accountability, time for protests and time for looking at ourselves in the mirror. No one will be able to say this doesn’t affect us. No one will be immune. Resistance is essential.
Simply put, you can’t be arrested and enslaved without being able to present your side of the story and then seeing what a judge or jury decides. It is wholly un-American. Fifth Amendment. The murderers, rapists, drug dealers and thieves were over international waters when the judge tried to prevent their deportation. Let’s wait to see if it happens again. Would you want them living in your apartment complex? Just curious.

Due process is a legal right. It really angers me that Trumpers refuse to acknowledge this. JD Vance is a YALE educated lawyer. He knows better.
Last I read neither the US gov nor El Salvador has identified the detainees, or provided details of their alleged criminality or gang membership. if they are indeed criminals, deport them, if not, they have a right to seek asylum. But arbitrarily deporting people without giving them an opportunity to defend themselves is un-American. And the president of El Salvador himself is a dictator!
So how long are we supposed to put up with this SHITSHOW. I’m so sick and tired of this crazy crap. And SO IS EVERYONE ELSE.
