Absolutely. Trump is obviously a disaster here. I know I'll be flamed for saying it, but we parlty deserve it. you're right. This is NOT an example of waste. But after decades of ALL of the political class permitting waste fraud and abuse, the people voted for a wrecking ball out of desperation. Dumb move, ultimately, but entirely understandable and predictable. It's not "connected" in a strict sense, but we expect people to vote reasonably when Congress literally voted for themselves to be able to insider trade? When no bankers were jailed, much less publicity executed for the 08 crimes? When we spent 20 years in Afghanistan for no reason? Really? When Churches close bit stripclubs stayed open because they had a kitchen in the back and were thus "essential?" Did we really think people wouldn't eventually vote for a wrecking ball?
