Yep. We gotta pull together on this and spread news among ourselves. Many of the investigative reports are incredibly detailed and connecting all the dots of Trump’s very ugly affairs just blows my mind. It’s shit I’d never even think of that’s how twisted and wormy the rabbit hole of his life is. With as much true negative shit there is about him I’m surprised he hasn’t been arrested. And, that lawlessness, that grift, all the killing, trashing our long standing allies is destroying our country. Well, gotta run, my niece who works for the Democratic Party in lovely New Jersey is tapping me about the May Day Nationwide Workers Strike! Thank you all so much from bringing me the news that nobody else will. We must remember that this is available to us now until piggy deems it a national emergency and shuts off our internet.

I cancelled my Washpost subscription as soon as he cancelled the Kamala endorsement--after more than 45 years. I miss the Post terribly, it appears good reporters (and even editorialists--I liked Max Boot) are still there, and I know Bezos doesn't care, but it was all I could do.
It'll be interesting to see if any of the "mainstream" (i.e. corporate) reporters stay home from the disgusting travesty of the WH Correspondent's Dinner. I have only contempt for any 'reporters' who attend.
Trump has done nothing but trash the media and those who work in the field. So why is he being honored??? That is disgraceful!!! No one should show up the way things are going with the war on free speech and freedom of the press. Yes, the only hope we have of staying informed about the truth is by doing our own research reading posts like this.

The dedicated, fiercely determined independent journalist giving it every thing they have to report the news. As result, most everyone I know goes to independent journalists to get the “real news” as my son says.
Also, Substack and Bluesky have played invaluable role as well. While there may not be a big White House dinner to celebrate you all , you have earned the respect and hearts of all of us and I truly believe - are saving democracy on a daily basis- one article at a time!
