I've been wondering about the difference in the reaction and handling of Kirk's death and the far too many deaths of our children, some poor parents' babies. As you said, many times school mass shootings barely make the news and are not spoken of again. No day of mourning, no flags at half staff, no recognition from those who hold the highest offices. It happens far too frequently - one school massacre is too many. How many kids have to die, suffer and be traumatized? How many families and friends have to grieve? They are the true "heroes" - totally innocent victims of gun violence who never even voiced an opinion on the subject. A bipartisan Supreme Court was always the safety net, but no more. We are the only voice for these victims, so we must vote, protest and speak on their behalf and on behalf of those we hope to spare from these massacres.

Gratifying that blue amp is carrying the mantle that the indefatigable Michael Moore has taken up for years despite its being an exercise, for the most part, in futility
