Sometimes men of principle are drawn to wars. Our Civil War was in part based upon “principle”. I see the point like “I see something that I believe has to be done no matter what the personal consequences”. To me that sounds like misguided idealism. Men of peace can overturn world orders, we have been given many examples: Siddhartha Gautama overturned and replaced the prevailing Vedic Order, Jesus of Nazareth overturned and replaced the prevailing Sanhedrin Order, and Martin Luther King overturned the prevailing white power order. We have been given many, many more examples throughout history, we need to be more informed and less misguided.

First NEVER Trust Anything Trump says - EVER! The real "anti-Christians" are those infected with "Trump Worship Syndrome"

"Right-to-life" Christofascists in this country don't blink an eye when our "smart bombs" kill pregnant Iranian women.

Interesting information about Cole's history of Christianity, and information about his Manifesto that we do not other wise see. Being a Christian in this present USA, with the President being supported by MAGA and other right wing Christians (less and less so, just as Cole has been disillusioned, so have many others). That does not excuse the attempt at violence, but it does help explain his reasoning.

I'd just kind of assumed that Trump wouldn't know anything about Christianity in any way, shape, or form. I am prepared to change my mind about that, in fact I would love to be proven wrong, but the preponderance of evidence against him, based on his life and behavior, suggests I needn't waste any time holding my breath.

I'm a huge fan of Jonathan Larsen's both his original reporting and The Fucking News (which is where I knew him first). You might not always agree with him, but an adversarial Fourth Estate is like that. And I'm old enough to remember when that was the standard.

The guy had had enough of Trump and his army of sycophantic perverts, and being a good Christian, felt he had to act! Who among us hasn’t felt that way in the last eleven years?

But "feeling " and acting out are two different things. One should always ask oneself if "even though i can, should I?" In this case the man was misguided and his personal ego was more important to him than the other people involved who may or may not be as awful, even though tRUMP and his minions are awful in countless ways. This is vigilanty justice and I personally do not want to see it become the norm here.

Many Christians fail to understand what Jesus meant in the parable of the weeds, which is found in the book of Matthew, chapter 13, verses 24-30. If you bother to read this parable you will find that Jesus is clear on the fact that God does the 'weeding' of evil and not us. As a Christian, you must learn to let evil exist and let God and His timing 'weed' the evil in the field.
