Their tourism is already crashing, who the fuck is gonna go there now?

Exactly, and will serve them right. I wonder if other countries will add "Florida" to their travel advisory lists "due to health risks."

That would be delicious.

They've been kinda quiet about that. Wonder what they actually think?

DeSantis is dumber than a box of rocks and that's an insult to rocks. Why anyone would have ever voted for this moron is outside of my realm of comprehension. I'm glad I live in Maryland !!!

He’s been elected 5 times in Florida, 3 for U.S. house of representative, and twice for governor, it’s not an accident, it’s Floridian ( am really amazed that they haven’t recognized that floride and Florida are virtually homophones, a state name change should be in the offering soon a true conspiratorial loyalty test for the disbelievers.)

Florida residents should be required to show proof of vaccinations before visiting Canada. We don't want the diseased walking amongst us.

For that matter, with RFK jr in charge maybe all Americans should be required to show proof of vaccinations.

Canada and Mexico/Caribbean nations should do that. I remember when I had to carry my vaccination records booklet to travel. The EU should consider it as well. I bet the airlines and cruise lines would holler real quick.

However, most people (around 80% per some polls, across political lines) in the US support required vaccinations for entering school. So at one point this is gonna blow up (I hope).

I have all my vaccination records in my wallet if you want to card me. And I do Love Canada, like to move there....maybe. Anything to get away from the BS of the DisUnited States of America and the current level of stupidity.

So let’s ask DeSantus if his children have been vaccinated ? Hope he doesn’t have any more children.

Why isn't this being asked already? Oh, he'd stammer out, "they were forced to" or some other asinine reply.

Time to ban any immigrants from Florida to California. The risk is too great for spread of any number of diseases.

Make Florida the sanitarium for viral illness for the country. Just send all people with communicable illnesses to FL since they seem to think they’re above the need for vaccines and that herd immunity is the thunking man’s (aka Ladapo) way to go

Maybe they could construct a holding pen like Alligator Alcrtaz or what's that new one,"The Holding Depot"??? Just hold them there until the perish. Then dump them in the Everglades.

De Santis is criminally stupid and a danger to the people. A strutting, moronic stooge. Anyone losing a child or family member to these wholly-preventable diseases needs to sue DeSantis personally for wrongful death. $10billion seems about right.

Someone else, I've forgotten who, suggeted this, but I'll pass it on. If DeSantis is so opposed to government mandates as impositions on personal freedom, when will he get around to declaring that you don't have to stop at red lights or stop signs?

While I tend to find the rhetoric on Blue Amp to be over the top, this hits the right notes. From “ the Sunshine State’s messiah of morons” to “ It takes a special kind of political depravity to look at the history of modern medicine—arguably humankind’s biggest triumph—and decide it’s the enemy”. “This is theater for the terminally gullible” is pitch perfect!

The most revolting part is that assuredly they and at least their older kids have been vaccinated, and will also receive all the vaccines and care they could possibly need in the event of an emergency. Après-moi, le déluge, eh.

As a parent, should I not have the expectation that my child goes to school in a safe and healthy environment to learn?

If someone is so dimwitted and misled that they do not want to save their children from disease with proven and safe healthcare measures, they must not be allowed to impose dire risks on others. Let them homeschool their children.

A public education, like a driver's license, should be a privilege not a right. And with that privilege comes responsibility.
