I watched MeidasTouch this morning with Michael Cohen. He stated that Texas has a $30 Billion disaster fund! Why hasn’t that been used their electricity problems and especially the flooding disasters? Seems like it’s being pocketed by someone if true.

Where does the GOP find these people? Misanthropes and haters anonymous? These “leaders” are the worst of the worst.

The republican agenda attracts the bottom feeders of society. I don’t care how rich they are, they are still selfish, greedy, corrupt and participate in fleecing the system and us fellow Americans. Their whole existence is to accrue more wealth and power and decimate the autonomy of the working class to make the 99% slavish serfs for life.

You’d think that it would be a cardinal sin in Texas to lie about the game of football.

There’s a place for questions of accountability every time. We called it film day AND all got roasted.

In the big leagues such is televised. He’s weaker than grown men being paid $$$ to lose a child’s game.

The banality of evil. Unspeakably sick people trump attracts. Of course, he is a psychopath and those are the people he attracts. How did we get here (rhetorical question, of course)

Guess the firemen who were crying as they pulled out bodies of young drowning victims should be called losers .

Not you. No; you are a winner. Your mother should be so proud of you!

I’m not surprised that such a disgusting person who didn’t care if people were killed while crossing a river because he installed razor wire to block access to the shore, acts like it’s not his responsibility to protect the public. In addition, using such a lame metaphor is beyond Ridiculous

And I love the picture of the scum Abbott with Ms Trick or Treat Noemnthing. Two bottom feeders in performative politics.

Well said David. Abbott represents what's wrong with the Government of Texas. That camp appealed a flood zone finding in 2011 and the owner a Mr. Eastland and so many others are now dead because of it. Why the voters of Texas keep electing scum like this is beyond me. They are getting what they deserve along with innocent's dying. Texas, where intelligence goes to die.

Maybe Sen. Joni Ernst from Iowa could visit the folks in Texas and remind them "We are all going to die...". Why do folks keep voting for these GOP losers? No cheers today.. GH

Texans, for your own sake, vote him and every Republican out.

Good idea Karen. The problem is they didn't vote them out after the Uvalde School shooter killed 21 teachers and students in May of 2022. The poorly trained and cowardly police responders waited outside of the school listening to the kids scream while being murdered. They re-elected Abbott again in the fall of 2022. It seems that more than half of Texan voters think these episodes are OK. What I can't figure out is why the other half of the good Texans aren't moving out by the millions!

Just asking... GH

During a winter freeze in Texas, when electricity went out and residents were left without heat or water, Ted Cruz attempted to escape to Mexico with his family. Meanwhile, Greg Abbott, often criticized for his inaction, failed to address the crisis, leaving Texans to fend for themselves. Cruz avoided speaking with the media but was caught at the airport. The lack of meaningful responses from leaders has also been evident in the face of domestic terrorist attacks in Texas, where hundreds of innocent lives have been lost. Tragic incidents, such as a school shooting where a safety officer failed to intervene, highlight the devastating consequences of inadequate gun control laws. Despite the need for comprehensive background checks and raising the minimum age for purchasing weapons of war, leaders like Cruz, Abbott, and others have refused to support these measures. Laws banning assault weapons, implemented under President Obama, were allowed to expire by Republican opposition.

Instead of focusing on genuine threats, figures like Noem and her agents have targeted innocent immigrants, many of whom are American citizens contributing to taxes, social security, and healthcare programs. These individuals were unlawfully detained without warrants by agents resembling a Gestapo force, lacking proper identification or credentials. Ironically, leaders like Abbott, Cruz, and Trump frequently label others as criminals while failing to address the illegal actions of ICE agents and the systemic issues they perpetuate.

An article well done sir! I live in Texas and Abbott has always been one sorry SOB! His Lt. Gov. is as just as sorry as he is. I always knew his incompetence and total disregard of the state would kill Texans one day. Well, that day has come. I hope the people of Texas now see how truly awful a person he is. And by the way, our 2 Senators ain’t worth 2 cents either!

I have seen some reports that the Mexican rescue workers were arrested as illegals. Is there anything humane in Texas! We are asked to continually forgive their irresponsible actions because there are good people there too. Sorry, I just cannot do it anymore. This time Texas needs to solve its own problems with outside help. Perhaps that would be the lesson needed.
