Donald Trump is…what’s the industry term again? Oh, right, a necrotically stupid, cruel, fascist creep who once again just admitted it all out loud. While further implicating himself in the the societal sickness that is the Epstein files.

Impressive dumbassery, even for Trump.

Asked again about Ghislaine Maxwell, a woman who recruited children into a global rape ring, Trump didn’t even flinch. He “wished her well.” The sex trafficker. The one who sent underage girls to be raped. And was convicted on multiple counts.

Ya know, normal human stuff. And you should definitely feel totally a-ok, and not like a giant asshole, if you voted for Satan’s little helper with the homunculus hands and 34-criminal-count conviction for paying off a porn star and basically being a galoot.

And, btw, this is the second time he had kind words for this particular sexual offender. Yet, this time, while trying to distance himself from her deceased-sex-trafficker boyfriend—that would be the Epstein guy—who he only called “terrific,” joined at parties with underage girls and in whose files—we know from a court filing accusing him of rape—he appears about as often as “and” or “the.”

Funny, on the wishing Ghislaine “well,” part. He’s never wished any of Maxwell’s victims well. Clearly an unintended oversight on his part.

I mean, there are pictures. There are videos. There are court records. And yet… silence. Admiration. “Wishing her well.” This isn’t some political footnote—It’s The Story.

And now Trump’s MAGA cult is coming for him, because he promised them he would deliver—via the files of this dead predator friend of his—some sex ring being run by Democrats or something Trump-University-level stupid like that. And we haven’t even gotten into the charges he should face for his role in creating Eric.

But back to the cult. You see, Trump’s MAGA cult doesn’t want Epstein’s files because they care about victims.

They want the files because all the blarney Trump barfed up about a child sex ring—ya know, Qanon stuff that got some guy to take an assault rifle to free supposed sex prisoners in a pizza place basement in Washington that turned out to have no basement. Or sex slaves. Also, Hillary Clinton wasn’t there running this..non-existent thing, as the overly-online louts said.

I know, I was shocked too!

But being cultists, they’re hard to dissuade (see my Walking Dead Theory of MAGA and their brain stems). So even as Trump insinuates and obfuscates and reprobates, holding the files back b/c he knows damn well he’s in them, they still think the files will help ‘em take down the right enemies.

You know, the President with that middle name “Hussein,” the Clintons, Hollywood, “the Jews,” “the blacks.”

It’s the same sick script of conspiracy The Far Right—referred to in your DSM-5 as “paranoid” and/or “delusional”—has read from for centuries. From medieval blood libel to QAnon. From Emmett Till to birtherism.

They don’t want justice. They want retribution, because certain people want to drink the blood of their white Christian children. And “others” want to have un-restrained sexual relations with their women and girls.

Ever read “To Kill A Mockingbird?” Peruse the story of the lynching of Leo Frank? See “Birth of A Nation?” They all expose the DNA underpinning these crusades vs “others,” which go back many hundreds of years in this country and all over the world.

So when Trump promised he’d expose this ring, he thought he was just feeding his usual pile of Hegsethian horse manure for corporate media stenography, but he was tapping into something much deeper in conspiratorial white-dude world. It wasn’t just “next week’s infrastructure week” or “no, my hair isn’t made from the same alien material that created Venom.”

He thought his followers and monopoly media would just forget about it next week… But he told them he’d expose the pedophiles. And all he’s done is expose himself (writing that, tbh, just made me throw up a little in my mouth).

Trump hung out with Epstein. He sexualized his own daughter, calling her a “piece of ass.” He let her rub elbows with predators, including Epstein. And, yes, he once bragged about telling Ivanka when she was 17 that she was the cutoff age for who he’d date. But that as she was aging he was “running out of options.”

Let that stink in.

And we won’t go into the, what, 28 women who accused him of sexual assault, the 13-yr old girl who sued him for rape, and dropped the case worried about her safety or the fact that in a civil court a judge “adjudicated him a rapist.” Or that he owned beauty pageants to peep in on teen girls' changing (letting Trump own a beauty pageant’s like letting Breaking Bad’s Heisenberg own a cold-medicine company).

Donald Trump is a human mirror held up to the worst corners of our culture and human nature—the parts that hide behind private school gates, priest collars or country club memberships. And what he reflects isn’t just him. It’s us. Or rather, what we’ve allowed to happen behind closed doors.

I attended a private school in New York City, Horace Mann, that had exactly this kind of abuse scandal. One of the culprits recruited me to the school (he recruited athletes, I was a sprinter, soccer player, etc.). Another was my music teacher. I never saw either of them do anything, but there were always rumors.

My high school, as is too often the case, chose to “hire their own investigator,” a blatant conflict of interest. Just another powerful institution betraying our trust, surrounded by wealth and protecting itself (btw, one of HM’s haughty competitors was The Dalton School, where Jeffrey Epstein got his start as a teacher).

The moral of this story is that we’ve tolerated this rot for WAY too long. Power protects power. But suddently Trump’s played into age-old stereotypes, scared the bejesus outta his followers for years to get them bonded into MAGA, only now to say “you’re on your own with all the predators I told you are out there!”

But now the files are coming due. And the biggest name they’re delivering is his, which is why he’s frantic to shut this down. Trump is cornered by his own bullshit. He promised Obama. He promised them Clinton. And all he can find is himself.

The internal hemorrhoid played with fire, and it seems, perhaps for once, he’s the one who got burned.

A right-wing-media influencer he helped create, and walking-talking forensic report on lead-poisoning IQ collapse, Candace Owens, just told her huge audience (i.e. his base—that he “thinks you’re stupid.” Stewart Rhodes, Jan 6th Oath Keeper Trump pardoned, just said Trump would be in “trouble” if he doesn’t come clean.

Dunno about you, but I wouldn’t want a guy who violently attacked the Capitol saying I’m in “trouble.”But, this is Trump. So all I can manage is: what’s for dinner again?

Let him rot in the trap he set. Let the damn files see some transparent rays of sunshine. Let every picture, every video, every testimony, every love letter, every threat, every dark connection see this very same light beyond corporate media.

The cover-up is collapsing. And this time even MAGAs are blaming the real monster. The one in Trump’s gold-encrusted mirror.
