The "social worker" is a police officer who has completed the police academy and holds a BA in Social Work. We have them in my town, in my state of CT! They support the police and the victim if a senior, child abuse, animal abuse, domestic violence, etc. The officer happens to be a woman in my town carrying the same amount of weight as male officers' gear. they should be in every city, every town.
