I, like some other readers, was shaking my head over why Mamdani would request a meeting and be so respectful to this idiot who clearly doesn't deserve respect. Honestly don't know that much about him, but read that he is 3rd generation in a family of (decent) public servants, so he seems to come by that honestly. I'm hopeful that this was a tactical maneuver to ensure that the federal dollars keep flowing to NYC. If so, it was a rather stunning success. That pic of Orange grinning up at him is so CRINGE.
