I agree, Prosecute and Impeach. Then indict, prosecute, convict and imprison and be done with this scar on America!

Impeachment & conviction are the right things to do. We don't do what's right depending on if it will work, we do the right things AND whatever more in needed to enforce it. This is absurd, allowing an emperor cos player to signal people's death by waving a thumb around & pointing it down...this shit is not entertaining.

💯How many votes did the GOP take trying to repeal O-care? If we must take 500 votes for impeachable offenses, ok. I know they have the House—but make a case to Repubs for a discharge petition. Be on offense, make the case how unfit Trump is

I don't think it would take much effort to make case about how unfit he is. God knows, he's given us endless amounts of evidence in the last 11 months!!! We all know he's unhinged and so don't they. They lack backbone not evidence!

We tried that a couple of times already, but the problem I had with those earlier efforts was that they didn't go far ENOUGH. There was never a chance that the Senate was going to vote for conviction, but having the articles of impeachment read into the record -- for every corrupt and crooked thing he did -- needed to happen. It didn't, and here we are. This time around? This term makes the prior ordeal look like a charity bake sale. They're not even TRYING to hide it. It isn't just the emperor who's naked, it's his whole empire along with him. And the thing that's most galling is that the authors of this travesty -- not Trump, but Kevin Roberts and Russ Vought -- TOLD US that they were going to take a wrecking ball to our Republic before we even cast the first vote in 2024. So they need to be in the dock with him. As vile as what you'll find in the Epstein Files™ (or not if Trump has his way) is, the rape and murder of our Republic is just as evil. I can't say "more evil", because even temperature has an "absolute zero", and we've reached its equivalent in corruption with this crew. An right now the ONLY thing between us and Armageddon is the oath that our military officers and troops swore when they signed on. The oath for officers differs from that of the rank and file enlisted, but both groups swear to support and defend the Constitution -- NOT any individual or political party.

And that oath has no expiration date.

Superbly stated - every point! You are so right about everything. NO they are NOT even trying to hide the corruption and disregard for their oath to the Constitution. We all know what needs to be done. The problem remains getting the spineless members of his "empire" to stand by their oath and DO THE RIGHT thing! We'll see, but I don't have faith in these Republicans or his pathetic following.

The democrats tried that twice. With overwhelming evidence. I personally don’t believe it will be successful a third time. Putting a democrat in every election with the right message to get a majority in house and senate is the best way to make him a sick duck.

Judy, I agree with you about putting a democrat in every election with the right message, so we can flip the House/Senate in 2026.

Never happen. No Republicans will vote to impeach Trump and you will have a major fight on your hands in the Democratic Party to even discuss it. Until we elect new people in both parties this tyrant will continue to rage on.

Amen. Of course it's the right thing to do to impeach and convict! Of course it's not going to happen with this Republican Congress. But David is right to express his outrage and to call for impeachment. And we need to ensure there is a true blue wave in 2026--with an absolute commitment to impeach as soon as the new House is seated.

I'd modify 'imprison' to specify a locked psychiatric facility, with several of #47's Cabinet members and 'councilors' included. Utterly dangerous people.

David, I could not agree with you more...but the unfortunate reality is that this Republican Congress is not going to impeach--must less convict--trump. That does not mean that we can't call for impeachment and express outrage. I expect there may be more defections like MTG's coming soon. It's easier to back away than to confront this monster. And the country continues to suffer as a result. I think the best we can hope for is a true mandate from the 2026 midterms and an absolute commitment to impeach as soon as the new House is sworn in.

I was at the yesterday's demonstration at the Lincoln Memorial which had a straightforward message - Impeach, Convict, and Remove. Wonderful turnout. I believe that this should be included in the platform of all Democrats running for Congress in 2026. To think we can wait until 2028 is a real mistake.

Rep. Al Green (Tx) has publicly said that he will have impeachment legislation ready by the end of the year. Our job as the sane of our US population, is to start calling and emailing our Representatives and Senators bullying them into impeachment of Trump and his regime, keeping the pressure on until and up to the time Trump is impeached. The other is to vote sufficiently to change the majority in both the House, but more significantly in the Senate where a 2/3rds vote is required. Change is a matter of will.
