Peoplesunion.com is a group that is suggesting a rolling set of financial freezes to unite people against corporate greed, rising inflation, tariff turbulence, eliminating SNAP while doling out millions to foreign countries, and not caring about the climate. The economic freeze is to not spend a single penny on certain specific days to show an impact with unity.

The origin of this plan was to save us all from public rallies to avoid tear gas and riots. It’s a peaceful way to show unity from the people.

The rolling no spend days I believe is weekly to gather the people together. It’s a collective voice from a united people so hard to obtain. It’s been going on for some time and other organizations are using this same pattern. The people can potentially gain control of Federal spending by not paying Federal income tax between future specific dates. Most people will probably individually choose not to pay federal taxes only if something drastic should happen like dictatorship. It’s your choice to work together or not. Please spread the word to any and all especially to individuals who have group members. Apparently Anderson Cooper posted on Instagram about the financial freeze that took place November 1st which is the day SNAP got laid off.

THE NEXT FINANCIAL FREEZE or NO BUY DAY WILL BE BLACK FRIDAY. So stock up on all your needs the day before. The deals last a week or more anyway. So go shop for them on Saturday. SPREAD THE WORD.

Sounds like a concentrated effort to boycott which could be effective. But could it have negative side effects? Marlon Weems would probably know. But this is the first I've heard of this. I did cancel my Home Depot credit card and refuse to shop there until they make a stand on what happens on their property and in their stores. I think those boycotts have an impact, at least I hope they do. Anyway, thanks for the information - good to research this.

I’m going to look up Marlon Weems to think about negative side effects. Clearly “the people” need to learn how to pull together, BOTH republicans and democrats. When we decide on a no pay day for a cause, for example SNAP got stopped, democrats or republicans can decide to boycott or not. Many republicans do not like the halt in SNAP, the food for the poor. It’s not just democrats who are against

Who chooses the causes? It could be any one of the groups like peoples union. Only the important causes will get a following.

I want to work toward connecting all of the groups or communities so when The Saners group, about global warming, want to participate in a boycott about No Kings or against Corporate Greed, we can all be contacted. Of course I want to participate in No Kings. How does word get out to so many people? I missed it unfortunately

On the boycotting federal income tax, it was done in the time of the Vietnam War. But then people didn’t pay all year and took the penalties. Boycotting as a people for one day, nobody takes a penalty, and the gross national product stays the same. That’s ideal. We don’t get what we want the first day, we try again for a week the next time? Many Republicans don’t want a king either. It’s bipartisan Is it bipartisan in your opinion

Keep in touch. Guide me

I hope you get this post. I just wanted to let you know that in the 50501 Weekly there was info about the Black Friday boycott which I will certainly respect. It specifically that Target, Amazon and Home Depot were being boycotted. Hope this helps you. Maybe if you Google 50501 you can access their newsletter??? I would send it to you but I have no idea if it’s even possible to forward email to this substack site. Good luck!!!

Hi, You seem very intelligent and knowledgeable, way ahead of me for sure!!! I understand targeted boycotts, like against Home Depot for not protecting immigrants on their property. But something this widespread on all retail will affect sales tax income, but what about the merchants and the effect on the economy? Someone really knowledgeable about the economy would be better able to analyze this. Maybe I'm reading too much into this, because I have no experience in this at all. Wish I knew more. Good luck with everything!

Chris Armitage in Existential something something Substack has recently texted me his reasons why not paying federal tax on Fridays evolving to not paying for a week when certain things happen, why it won’t work. I haven’t read it myself yet, but he has gathered a good group of members who seem quite savvy. I’m going there for my next reads. Thx for responding

You are so right, it's sad but true. Used to be you respected and accepted other people's political party choice and how they voted. But it's no longer a policy issue or a party issue. It's a moral issue - a right or wrong issue. When the Dems were campaigning in 2024 they told us we were fighting for the soul of our country. They were right, we are.

Over 70,000,000 people voted for democrats. To indicate they’re losers and have lost their base is not true. I don’t see us throwing anyone under the bus. What the hell are you talking about?? So the repubs win the house, senate and executive. In a damn close race. I think you’re flat wrong about the Democratic Party. How do you think they can change the direction of the country when they have now so little say in our government. Instead of just being critical offer some positive advice if you’re so smart. Whew! Can’t agree with you on this at all.

I agree with the fact politics is not just an issue in itself. It has crossed over into everything because as in trump's first term, they have divided us so deeply. But I am with you in that I stand with my Dems. There is just so much they can do being the minority. We have a lot of great Democrats - Governors, Senators and Representatives. I appreciate them. We have to hope that enough people are fed up and going to make sure they vote. As we watch our democracy being destroyed, taking back a majority seems like our only hope.

Thanks Steve. Now we will see if the millionaire owner and players of the Dodgers are real patriots and refuse to go to the White House and support the criminal Fascist in Chief. Or are they just so ego driven they can't help themselves? Time will tell... GH

Few people know what fascism is, and many of those who do like it. They are ethnic nationalists pretending to be christians. That's not what the USA is. So let's tell them the truth: they are not patriots--they are Confederates who hate the federal government. They have been deceived by globalist billionaires. Trump is one of them. He uses scare tactics to get his way and promote the interests of his fellow billionaires. Their white displacement conspiracy theory is a sham. Wake up!

Just a reminder that Republicans and Trump blocked immigration bureaucratic reform (bipartisan, led by R Jim Lankford). Texas let immigrants flood in for thirty years to increase their sales tax base and depress wages (Rs have led TX now for 30 years…not a controlling D in sight). Our current immigration circus is the choice of Republicans, not Democrats. They blocked shoring up the immigration courts process in order to create this racist, violent spectacle we all see now…over paperwork.

Trump is under water in the polls, and the public still is not willing to vote for the Dems, because the same polls show they feel the Dems are out of touch with the realities of their lives. And they're right. The public might care about the needs of the many groups that the Progressives are intent upon rescuing--if they were meeting the needs of much larger segments of the population. But the Dems fail, and fail, and fail. They particularly fail the working class, the Trump base. The working class has declined in wealth, status, and health, and Left is has little interest in helping them because that would mean helping White males and neither of those groups is of any interest to the Progressives. Well, suit yourselves (have you ever done anything else) but Trump did not win, the Left lost. And it would be a tragedy if they came to power again through the incompetence of the Repubs, so they can just continue to fail the public.

While I do not completely agree with the argument that Democrats (and more broadly those of us who are not MAGApublicans) have surrendered our story, it is seriously disconcerting that we have allowed the hard right to hijack words like Faith and Patriot, and that if you see a pickup truck flying an American flag you can almost bet it will also have a Trump bumper sticker. Trumpism is an assault on the faith and values that are the foundation of what is great about America. We need to reclaim what they are trying to steal from us - ownership of the faith and the patriotism and the values that are not theirs to claim exclusive rights to.
